Anyone know the deal here? 93 1.9.Original hose.Firewall(heater core) to the T. stat. hsng.(/OR some other t or fitting there?.).haven't looked that close.BUT!..I almost did a triple take..the hose where it goes over/attaches at this end has a CRIMPED! yes a crimped type end..identical to an a/c,p.s. hose.WTF? Looks like I have to carefully saw through this clamp..OR cut off the end of this piece it attaches to and be left with a plain pipe end and just slip another piece of hose on..looks like it to me??I'ldno..anybody done this..THANKS!

ERrr..heater hoses on these don't look so simple..that one particular hose I spoke of goes to a fitting..at the other end of the fitting is ANOTHER of these connections..and another hose..FINALLY it goes to the stat.hsng and uses a NORMAL clamp there ..whadya gotta get the whole assy?..LOOKS like this can be done normallythough. With normal hoses and normal clamps.

A closer look at what I QUICKLY thought was a swollen hose..going from firewall/heater core to pump..LOOKS like it is a moulded hose with 2 DIFFERENT size ends on it(pump and htr.core)..

I'ldno..anyone know anything??about this stuff?..LOL..LOOKS like I will be FINDING OUT!/LEARNING..the hard way..oh well..MUCH BETTER! to "learn" here/now as oppossed to "finding out" at the side of the road..mid winter...-35..howling wind, blowing snow
