Co2

Alright, so there's been talk of CO2, and I finally seen a setup for sale. So, I got some questions.

1) What exactly is CO2? and how does it work when spraying in cars?
2) Is it safe, legal, efficiant, worth it?
3) Where can tanks be filled up?
4) What kinda damage will be done to the engine?

I'm interested because I will never use NO2... too dangerous with too many risks. I heard about the CO2 awhile back, but didnt think anything of it. Does anyone here use it? Is it good? PLease fill me in on some info. Thanks a bunch.

Co2 is the product of oxidation (burn) and its the same stuff you or the engine exales. You do not want extra Co2 in the engine since that will kill it.

However you can spray Co2 on the intercooler to cool it off due to its endothermic reaction during expansion.

So the only way this would work is with cars with intercoolers? How about adding a intercooler (no turbo) and spraying that?

You would have negligible gains if any at all. I would assume that you would have a loss of power since you have to fill that intercooler with air.

FI cars need ICs because the air compression is exothermic. So NA cars would not really benefit from a IC even a cooled one. The gains if any wod be offset by all the turbulence caused by the IC.

So adding an IC to a NT car would also be pointless then too, right?
