This is the new Revell.de release, which originally is an old esci kit, not necessarily a bad thing, as this one does not seem to accuse any age.
Body, proportions, details and tyres, even decals all look the real deal, and I must say I was expecting something a bit more crappy.
No engine, firetruck extra's, let's say you' ll make a nice rendition of the first G class (1983 model) effortless.
I d say, if you 're interested in little trucks, buy it, and if you guys have any more questions , please ask, as I haven't really taken much time to dissect this kit, just on the first sight it looks pretty decent.
Hope the pics speak for themselves

I have an old ESCI, and I've been toying some ideas of how to modify it to match the more recent one, but it's going to be a major work.

Well.... I'm still waiting for this model. I haven't seen this model in Warsaw/Poland yet...
But I know - my G 230 will be black.. with chrome parts.
Mayby I will put engine from 500 SL or 600SEC into... ?
And front seats and steering wheel from E320 (W210) fujimi...
hhhmmmm... :screwy:

I made this kit (not the reedition) a few years ago. I had found it in the back of a small store, it was already an old box. I'm not quite sure but I think it was already a Revell one and not ESCII.
I should check the box but it is at my parents'house.
I'm always looking for firemen vehicles that I don't have yet, but for this time Revell doesn't help me.
They tend to re-make old models in this theme (ladder truck, Mercedes G...) and it's already a few years they didn't produce anything new in this field... unluckily for me !

I have a good idea for a diorama:
Two kits, painted white with a large orange stripe in the middle. Between both kits, a Brinks truck. All three cars with flashing lights and speeding on the highway. You know what I mean? ;)
I'm just a :loser:
