tranny ?

I'm hopefully going to get a B18C GSR motor with 5spd tarnny,ecu,axles, basicaly every thing for under 3 grand :grinno: to put into my 92 civic dx. I was wondering how much Hp can the tranny and axles take becasue I plan on going turbo after I get it hopefully thnx

you don't have to worry about the tranny itself, you will want to get a better clutch though. As for axles, it depends on how you drive. If you drag race a lot you will be breaking axles left and right, especially once you get to 300+hp.

It all depends on axle placement, and how bad your wheel hop is. A good friend of mine has a 700+ hp/500+tq civic, running stock axles, and has yet to break one yet.

holy jesus, that's a lot of power to be running stock axles with. I've seen lots of people shred axles like they're nothing with half that much power though.
