Go team!
Today ppl my baby arrived! and im not talking about the mail order bride i ordered last week........ :)
i got my gear and bike today, Kawasaki GPX250, 1998, with 24,000km, beatiful condition and well looked after, i got a HJC CL14 helmet, Alpinestar gloves, Draggin Jeans, R-jays boots, and a Dririder jacket.
iv been riding her all afternoon, and i think its catching on quite quickly, gave my self a few eye openers already, first was when i took off for the very first time, reved bit to high and dropped the cluch way to fast and took off pretty quickly, well it felf freeking quickly (ok for never having ridden any sort of bike before), got the hang of shifting pretty quicky cept around a gentle corner i accidently downshifted into 1st from 2nd instead of up shifting to 3rd, the back waggled a bit
lol is all good, i have sooo much to learn still and cant wait to get my licence.
cheers all for putting up with a noob without a ride for so long lol
but now i feel m part of the family, "sniff"...............group hug!
cheers

Hey pete, have you got your "L's" yet. Or are you doing a naughty :nono:
When I got my first, I still had to get my "L's" but thought 'bugger that, I'm going for a ride'. Went around the block straight into a breath test station. Lucky they don't ask for a licence unless your being booked. :loser:

hahahahaha YOU IDIOT! ;)
Second time I was riding my dad's BMW F650GS, I dropped it in the parking lot... at least he had dropped it the time before that, so I didn't do any more damage than he had already done.

OH my! can i just say that i am a retard!
Blayne is an iddiot but i have now officially claimed retard status. :)
heres how it went: The day i bought the bike i was out hooning around my streets and suddenly it died, and i had to push it home, grrrr!
got home it wont start, put the stand down go inside, come out it starts, so off i go 5 mins later it dies again! what the!? i just bought the f@#king thing!
ok i have a thing feels like fuel, but i can hear fuel sloshing around in the tank, check everything to do with fuel cant find the problem, not the battery, not the carbies, i got nothing.
this goes on for 2 days till it hit me, there is fuel but only in the reserve tank and it didnt occur to some freaking genius to switch the tanks! so it would run on the fuel in the carbies then die when that ran out, oh dear, oh dear
what are we gonna do with me

you bloody moron. ok i admit it. i did the same only the bike shop installed the reserve switch backwards. just wait for a hill start in peak hour traffic and then it stalls.
as for insurance, i'm an old fart so i pay 800 for my blade valued at 15k
my fizzer was around 300 a year for third party only. try swann insurance but they are pricks. NRMA is better but more expensive and i use Arista but they are an underwriter and will be expensive for high risk riders
