Getting too much gas

I have an 88 deville 4.5 , when trying to start it, it seems to send too much gas to tbi. If I unhook one of the injectors, it'll actually run. Was wondering if anyone knew the cause of this? And also, would it be ok to run it on just one injector? Thanks.

Asked around locally and was told maybe it was computer. Would a computer off an 87 deville work?

Well, nevermind on my question, I traded it off on a Chevy 4X4. Easier to work on :)
