is having no cat for a all motor car faster or slower? i recently put on my stock cat, and it seems that the rpm's seem to go up steady. when i didn't have a cat, the rpm's would go slower till it got to about 3000 and then it would just fly to redline. which one is better?

If it's a race car only (which your grocery getter probably isn't) then yes, it's worth a dyno-proven 6whp on a B16A2. If it's a sohc econobox used for driving to your $8/hr job, then no, it's not worth it at all because it will make your car sound horrible and will be illegal.
