What has to change as far as the ECU goes when one installs a supercharger or even a turbo.

What has to change as far as the ECU goes when one installs a supercharger or even a turbo.
you have several options
1. Reflash the ECU so it will handle the new parameters
2. Get a piggyback that will fake the info to the ECU and will compensate
3. Get a standalone ECU and custom program it
And beside that certain other modifications might be needed like a new MAF to read the extra air, upgraded fuel system etc...
