I had just left a repair shop yesterday to get a quote on how much it would be to repair a hit i got, well i was driving and at a red light a brand new BMW M3 pulled up next to me and wanted to race i said let's do it i know those babies are fast, so as soon as we launched this guys' car turned off he couldn't get it into first gear and it just died, i just stopped and laughed that was so funny

Sorry but it would not be close those BMW's are crazy fast. There C5 Vette killer's. 0-60 on them is like 4.5 -4.7 they can run the 1/4 in under 13 seconds. I wouldn't mess with one with a good driver.

Well I saw a Stock M3 Brand New at Englishtown run a 12.8 and The car didn't even look like it was trying I also had one for a day when my Z3 was in for servicing and due to the almost 8000 RPM redline with a huge powerband they are crazy fast and can take off like a bat out of hell at any RPM range and I really think they are under rated,

If your talking 1998 -2002 F-body's then yes it would be a race but still not very close just look at the number's the Stock F-body LS1's all dyno around 300 Horsepower to the wheels and weigh around the same as the M3 (3400Lbs give or take 100) but yet the Fbodys run 5.1 - 5.5 0-60 & most run 13.2 -13.6 1/4(yes some have broken into the 12's but its rare) while the M3 kills these number's and mostly do to the broad power band.

i'm planning on taking my car in about two weeks to get dynoed, but i'm pretty sure i'm easily pushing out 300rwhp, i've reprogrammed the pc, pulleys, k&n cold intake, headers, full exzaust, 52mm throttle body and airfoil, i've done all the free mods too, i've got a 89 camaro with lt1/t56

I'm sure your putting out at least 300 at the wheels (most stock LT1- 6 speed's dyno at 250 -255) but that still won't be enough to take out the M3 now if you where pushing 375 + at the wheels I would think you would be able to put the M3 in your rear view

well i was planning on converting my lt1 into a lt4 but i heard it was overrated so i'm planning on putting a supercharger on my maro and i even left my rs badges on my maro can you say sleeper

The LT4 Hotcam is a awesome cam but the intake/head package is not worth it just port your heads and intake and you will easily be putting out 425 + at the wheels.

When you look at 3 rd Gen Vs. 4 Th Gen weight you have to compare Apple's to Apple's Such as the 350 V8 against the LT1 and I think you will find there is about 100Lb difference or basically the difference between F-body style (Formula,Trans Am, Z28,1LE) and at best will offer you about a tenth over another model.

well i sure i'm alot lighter than most third gens, i have no rear seats, i've redone my suspension,so all the new parts i installed were lighter and stronger where could i get my car weighed at?

No you will have to work your heads like I said, You will have to port the intake side and mirror port the exhaust side, Port match the intake manifold and step up to larger valves and use some roller rockers with hardened push rods but yes you should get those results.

They can weigh your car at the garbage dump. They have a drive up scale which they use to weigh vehicle to see how much trash they brought in.

No the LT1 is 50 lb's lighter than the Gen 1 350 (due to Aluminum heads) and the 305 is somewhere between 75 - 100 lb's lighter than the 350.

THe regular M3's weigh about the same as the Maro's.. But the M3 GTR weighs just under 3000lbs.. I think they both got 330hp and an 8000RPM redline.. The traction control BMW uses is amazing.. traction definatly wouldnt be an issue.. Like Formula said, These cars are highly underrated..

When you say both you mean both models of BMW's right? because the LT1 is like 6000 RPM's and the LS1 is orange hazard at 5500 RPM's and red at 6000 RPM's but besides that I concur and at no time did I think you sounded like Maxi Pad (just kidding man!)
