I have looked through other post but could not find a good answer... i tried to paint the door panels... i made sure there was no dirt or grease (cleaned everything real good.)... then i primed the panels then sprayed them red... but after 5 days of drying "they were still wet" ... it has now been i'd say 7-8 months and the panels are still wet Ruined .. (had to buy new door panels)... what did i do wrong and what should i do on my new panels...so i don't ruien these...

Try using a penetrating vinyl dye instead. Or you could look up a place like colorglow and have they re-dye them for you if you feel safer. Classic soft trim might suck for seats, but they should have a local colorglow reps number.

VHT makes a penatrating vinyl dye, never used it so I don't know if it's good. G2 also makes Vinyl Dye. I have heard that thiers works very wel, though it costs a buttload more than VHT's (which I have heard nothing about).

If you are intent on painting, SEM makes a product called "colorcoat" you might try. Get the Vinly prep, and the SEM soap cleaner besides the color of "colorcoat" you want. Also pick up a can of the colorcoat clear as well. We've used sem before at the upholstery shop, it works alright. An auto paint store should have some, or an uphostery wholsaler should as well. Just make sure to sound like you know what your doing when you go it and you should be okay.
