Ok I can see that most Cruise control Questions are answered with checking the Vacum lines. My Cruise is not working and has not for a long time. It worked just fine, and one day stoped nothing wrong with it before that. My Jeep had a 7 Prong Trailer Plug on it. Well I ended up cutting it off because I was going to replace it. I finnly found the replacment plug on a web site and I'm ordering it, but no telling when I will get it. Any way is there a cruise control cut off switch in this wiring package. What I mean is I heard that when you plug a trailer into it, the cruise is disabled. I'm thinking that this might be my issue, but I'm not sure.

Does your '92 have a vacuum bottle behind the bumper on the passenger side of the car? Has it been wrecked in the front? If this bottle is damaged you won't have cruise control.

I will have to take a look at that. I have no other Vacuum issues in my Jeep, but that is worth looking at. I was looking in my Chiltians(sp?) book for my Jeep and it mentions a fuse in there if the cruise is not working, but I have not been able to find were that is located at. The other things is in the wiring diagram in the book it seems that there is some sort of connection to the trailer wiring. I bought what I thought was a replacment for the 7 prong trailer hitch that came on it, but it is not right. The one I bought has a 5 plug end on it. But the factory installed one pluged into square green box that is located in the rear interior side panel under were the extra tire is stored. I think that I may have to do the wiring my self to get every thing fited on that. See not only is my cruise not working, but the light in the dash does not come on at all so it is like it is dead.

Do yourself a favor and do a vacuum check of the lines that go down behind the battery on the left side.
