G6 or same old tricks

Oprah made them famous by giving one to each of her guest on the first new show of the season. The Pontiace G6 is a 3.5L 200hp/220 torque 6 cylinder power midsize sedan. While it is underpower compared to what we are used to, it will make 32mpg on the highway and prices at just over $21K. It is styled slightly more european (so sayeth the ads) but it still resembles a Grand Prix/Grand Am in the typical pontiac kind of way. I think it is the first natural aspirated sedan with 6 cylinder over 200hp. The grand prix was/is about 220hp with a supercharger.
Is the gain gas mileage worth the loss of power? Is the bottomline the real selling point? Or is this too little too late for the 'power' sedan race?

Its a Pontiac, I would not even consider it. THe only saving grace it could have had was if it was RWD. Is it? If its FWD, then I wouldn't even look at it twice.

I'm guessing you mean the first one that was made by pontiac? The grand prix was/is about 220hp with a supercharger.

I think don't really care for them much. 3 of the Ones that Oprah gave away are in a town near by. I saw one guy get on it and sort of fell on its face. I wasn't really that impressed.

I haven't gotten a real good look at it yet, but it sounds to be on the same track as a 6cyl Camry or Accord. I don't know what the hype is, unless, like swonder67 said, it is RWD. Either way, it is a Pontiac and I won't trust one as far as I can throw it.
