BMW 325 Ci questions

I am new to this forum. I Just bought a 2001 BMW 325Ci for my wife. Great car , but a few questions. What is the black plastic looking key for??? Where can I get a copy of the owners manual. should this car have remotes to lock the car. We only got one key, plus the black plastic one, no remotes , and no owners manual. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I also just bought a 2001 325ci. The black key has 3 buttons on it. To lock the doors...press the bmw symbol in the middle. To unlock the drivers side door...press the bottom button. Press the bottom button twice to unlock both doors. The top button opens the trunk.

thanks, yup it does help. just got the manual today (downloaded from BMW web site) and most of my questions have been answered. this is a great car, definitely need a radar detector.
