Muffler Rattle

I currently own a 02 Civic LX Coupe. I bought a A-Spec muffler a while back and put it on. I used to have a magnaflow but it was chambered. The new muffler I have is a 3 inch round muffler no baffle. It rattles from like 2100rpms till like 3000rpms not like shaking, but like a loud ring throughout those rpms. I went back to place where I got the muffler to see if he would give me a new one. He said that all mufflers do that once they break in. I have had many different mufflers on many different cars and I have never had this happen. I was gonna take it back to place where I had it installed and see if they can do anything. If you guys have any other help that you can provide, I would appreciate it. I don't wanna have to buy a new muffler again. Thanks!
PS - The intake has a small hole and the filter is really dirty if that may affect the sound of the muffler since the airflow would be different possibly?

2. It rattles from like 2100rpms till like 3000rpms not like shaking, but like a loud ring throughout those rpms.
Have you visually checked your hangers? Have you checked to see if it is actually tapping against anything? If your not so sure, but the front on jackstands and have someone step on the gas. You inspect the muffler.

The only effect this will have is on your gas mileage due to a dirty filter.
