would you recomend a 95 Dodge stealth (not rure RT or Base) are they reliable are they fast? will it be funner to drive than my 87 RX7? and do they have any common problems, and is there any way to tell the difference from RT and base fom the exterior? Thanks

if it has sideskirts that have vents right behind the bottom of the door then its an R/T or R/T turbo. I assume your RX7 was a turbo, but I dont know the times those car ran. The base would deffinatly be slower, the ES and R/T should be close, and the R/T turbo I believe is faster. You could always look up their stats in compairison to yours.

Specs for every year, make, model...weight/hp/torque/etc: http://www.team3s.com/FAQ-Specs1.htm
or http://www.daveblack.net/asp/3SiSpecs.asp

Also don't confuse an RT and an RT/TT
The TT is hte faster as it has twin turbos. I believe only the TT has exhaust pipes coming out both sides. The N/A versions only have them on the right or the left...I forget which.

I thought the RT also had the twin exhaust like the RT/TT and the ES was the model with only the one.

i thought those old turbo cars didn't manage to run great times but a stealth can be a 15 second car straight and maybe sub 15 with some minor mods

i got my 95 stealth a few months ago, and while i love the car, i just hate myself for not looking around a bit more for an rt, or if i could afford it (i probably could if i dedicated the next few years of my life to paying it off...) a vr4.

so from personal experience, i'd have to say look around a bit more for the rt at least. or if you're set on a base, you can buy mine and i can find an rt :D

Hey guys, please differentiate the RT stealth from the RT/TT stealth. They are 2 entirely different trims. The RT is just like the ES and SL motor, the 222hp DOHC N/A. Whereas the RT/TT has the 320hp vr4 motor and runs 13.5s in the 1/4. They are two different Stealths, and it just adds to the confusion when people refer to the RT/TT as the RT or don't associate the correct Stealth trim with its correct 3000gt counterpart. Thanks in advance.

Stealth ES/Stealth RT generally run around 15.2-15.5 in the ¼, although some members have claimed times as good as 14.9 0-60 ?...probably in the high 6s or 7s.
base Stealths run mid 16s with a 0-60 of about 8.5 sec

As far as how much to offer...that would depend on the year of the car, the condition, the mileage, pretty much every detail you forgot to mention. Check out www.kbb.com They have an excellent site that will help determine a fair price whether you are buying from a private party or a dealership...chances are dealerships will charge more.

My only question is how are you going to test drive this car if it doesn't have any wheels...what is it sitting on cinder blocks?

yeah they left it in a house and the car started missing parts but my dad painted it so he test drove it but we dont know it its RT or Base as i said no battery no radiator and no rims about 110,000 miles its a 95' and near new paint in good condition, 5 speed and the owner has lots of $ so i dont think he will want much, plus his my dads friend. what should u recomend i offer
