hi all,

I've read the past posts on here and it sounds like
im having problems as suggested for a main relay problem.
Now it was posted with a 99 accord, does this apply
to a 94 honda accord lx?

symptoms: takes two or three cranks and engine starts.

sometimes it will start up on first try. today was 80deg
and it was cranked up first time. I'm just wondering if
this is going to get worst? If so i m more leaning towards
replacing the main relay. I've changed fuel filters and air
filter yesterday. Same problems

any help?

Probably not the main relay. Look to the spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, distributor cap for a solution to your problem

I had the relay problem before. The car would not turn over but crank on a hot hot day. I would suggest you to wait for a little more to see if the problem is persistent before get yourself through replacing the relay.

The relay problem has a clear indicator if you decide to check on the relay. Have a CLOSE look at the base of the solder points, you should see the cracks at the base of 2 solder points. If you can't find the cracks, probably the relay is not your problem. If there are the cracks, save yourself 62 bucks by resolder the crack yourself. It is easy but need to be careful to avoid the solder spread across the legs.

Good luck,
