from your sn it seems to be that you have a 69. In my opinion I don't think that would do you much good as you most likely dont have a computer controlled car. Was it a newer camaro?

there are lots of those programs, most over $1000 i think. they are for tuning fuel maps and what not. worthless on older cars indeed.
or you can buy a little thing for closer to $100 that plugs into your cigarette lighter and uses G-forces to gauge everthing thats on a time slip on a little LCD display.

Most likely he was using an aftermarket ECU with log functions and the software used was the one that comes with the ECU or some other type of log software, perhaps he was using some more advanced telemetry system, hard to say.

First, use ENGISH when you're posting, none of this IM crap.
Second, they're right. He's not replacing the ECU with his laptop, he's just tuning it. (Just like in F&F, for a 15 year-old's reference)

If he is using it tune the ecu, its probably an aftermarket ecu. I don't know of any auto manufacturers that have user programable ecu's. And he was probably mostly using it to log/watch data. That would help him to determine if he needs to tune or just fix a little driver error.
Grab the cat and get inside grandma.
