i have a 98 V6. I think the first thing you should do to a car is get it to breathe better. Iam planning to get ram air and a catback exhaust system.

you could drop alot of money into that six banger and be quick but you should just sell it and get your self a z28 you'll be alot happier and once you modifiy your z28 then you'll be haulling ass

I also have plenty of z buddies in a z f-bod car club who will test to this fact. Nobody is the fastest and you will allways win some and loose some. I wish everyone would just get a grip and work hard and then play hard. Any upgrades you do to your car is worth it. After all "it's your car" :smokin:

Actually you can drop alot of money into anything and be quick. Work with what you've got and stick to a correct plan of attact. visit www.geocities.com/kellyaustin_2000 If all you have is a six, then make it the best six you possibly can. I did and the z boys loved it. I was kind of a poster child for the v6 guys. I dont have all the answers but I just hate it when someone says "get your self a z28" My 6 kicked many z's right in the teeth. It's not that they weren't fast, just not as fast as me :evillol:

Do that and more, it all helps hp, torque, over all performance and best of all, it makes you the driver and the owner feel pretty good about your hard work paying off. As I've said before, you can't be the fastest, that person doesn't exist. Actually you can do more now then when i had those two cars. Make sure you check the link to my v6 toyz car as well. It's the car that enspired me to start my company for v6 f-bods. It was a 96 and the I got the 2000 at the end of december 99. It only had 11 miles, wow! That was a first for me. Some mods are higher then others but I didn't think for the six it was all that bad. Let me know what's up. :smokin:

with a sixer, there really is no easy way to make more power. youre pretty much going to have to tear the engine apart, and do all the old school hot rod tricks. port and polish the heads, crank scraper, cam swaps, thermal and anti friction coatings, backcut valves, high power ignition system, maybe milling the heads down for more compression. intake and exhaust are also important, a cold air intake, headers, and catback exhaust are great mods, also having your computer tuned to take advantage of these mods will give you extra hp lost due to the factory programming.
