Need help finding a G20

Ok. This may sound stupid, but I can't seem to find a G20 within 200 miles of where I live. Do I live in some strange paranormal area? All of the cars within my price range ($3000-ish) are all way too far for me to see in person, and the closer ones are junk. Is a show room condition, no mileage, five speed, for a ridiculously low price too much to ask for?

wow, what website are you looking through? i got my car through www.cars.com but there dont seem to be too many ~$3000 g20s around here either..
back when i got my car (about 2 years ago), those things were everywhere!

Try www.autotrader.com (http://www.autotrader.com). They seemed to have some in that easterly direction. I wish I could help more. My Sentra got totaled on Monday and all I want is a darned 1994-1996 G20 5-speed. I'll even take high mileage. Problem is, I don't think there's a single one for sale in the western hemisphere and I have to buy one by Monday (that's right, I have 3 days) because that's when insurance stops paying for the rental and dammit someone sell their Infiniti!!!!!! There were about 200 for sale just last week, darnit, and I just know that as soon as I settle for another Sentra I'll see 200 more for sale and please please please someone sell me a manny-tranny Infiniti G20. I've tried every stealership within like 300 miles and searched with every website and the worst part is that Towbin Infiniti in Vegas sold two right out from under me because they didn't believe I was serious because my darned Cell-phone service wouldn't let them return my phone call.

C'mon, for cripes sake I can spend up to 10k!!!! I have 2500 down payment!!! Cash!!! My dad will finance me the rest!!!! Cash!!!! THIS SHOULDN'T BE THAT HARD!!! I have a 707 credit rating!!! Someone sell me a darned car!!!! I have spent the last 4 days 6 hrs/day trying to find a G20 stick for sale with absolutely NO RESULTS!!!!!

OK actually I lied. They are still trying to sell the abused G20 which is a 1996 5-spd Silver all options but leather with all the chrome dented and the roof jumped in and paintballs smashed into the seats and mismatched tires with wires sticking out. Hey, at least they only want $6290!! (I'm being sarcastic that last sentence.)

Oh and I did find a 1996 G20 today that's pearl white Auto with an immaculate exterior. The bad part (besides the Auto)? Well someone left a dog in the car and it ate several large chunks out of the leather. I'm talking 5"x5"x3" chunks in the seats. Plus, it's a TMA-True Mileage Unknown since the odometer doesnt't work.

Well, I have looked on autotrader.com, and they have a lot of nice cars. Just none anywhere close to where I can afford. The closest one around here is 170 miles away and it has a blown engine and a broken window, which has let plenty of weather in since it was parked months ago. The other close one was crashed in the side, and he still wanted $1500. I suppose I could get a loan, but that doesn't help that I live in G20 black hole.

I'm selling mine for $5500 obo. ;)

But I had to buy mine from Dallas. I flew out there, and drove it back to Utah. I find better deals back east then I can out here. So I dont mind the $70 plane ticket and the drive home.

When you bought that car, did you do it sight unseen? I wouldn't mind buying a car far away from me, but I can't trust the seller's description every time. Did you have someone look at it or what?

5-Speed G20s are rare. I checked Autotrader.com and called all the dealers (not just infiniti but acura, nissan, vw, honda, toyota, audi, bmw, lexus, etc. -american car dealers) in my area everyday from May until September. Augest 31st around 8:00pm I looked up on Autotrader and one came up. The next morning I drove 40miles to the dealer, test drove, had lunch, and bought it. By the time we finished all the paperwork 3 other people came in ready to buy it.

Sight unseen. The only thing the seller left out, was he was going to leave all his personal crap left in the car. Thats okay though, he left almost $20 in change, and gave me a check for $100 to get the car detailed.

Do you know anyone that has been burned that way though? I don't have too much faith in the honesty of others. I found a decent car in florida, but I don't want to have a car arrive with a caved-in side or blown engine that the seller "forgot" to mention. Anyone know of a decent 5-speed G20 for sale around $3000?

I dont know of anyone getting shafted that way. I'm sure it has happened though. But I also bought my Civic, and my wifes G20 the same way. The seller with the Civic was really good about providing info. But he took a few extra weeks in getting me the title. Other then that, it was all good. Her G20 was bought from a dealer, so there was little to no worries there.

Do you think that $2500-$3000 is an unrealitic price range. I can pay that much in cash. I don't think I can get a loan because I'm only 20 and have absolutely no credit. I don't really want to pay payment anyway. Am I just a dreamer?

For that price, you will be getting a car that will need a good amount of TLC. The cheapest you may find, that would be in pretty good condition, would maybe be closer to $4500 to $5500 Thats just what I have seen.

Yep, that's right. I am now a LEGAL hanger-outer in this forum.

And if you really are selling yours...for only $5500...and it's a 5-spd....WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME???? Just kidding. I love my new car, even if it's an automatic.

If you see one in Southern Florida I will check it out for you. There are a few under $4000. I saw them yesterday in case I find out my car is dead later today ....

95 black 5 speed, new tires, tinted, cd, moonroof, cloth, grey interior. other than that all regular service has been done, replaced the starter and battery in nov. 00 and all oil changes have been synthetic since i bought it at 49k. it currently has 99k on it and you can have it for my bank pay off of 5500 remaining on the loan. i can deliver it for the price of a plane ticket back.

Damn, if id would have known, i would have sold you mine for 500 bucks, I had a Pearl white 93 G20, It was an auto, I donated it to my church. It ran great, it had a rough life tho. See my web site, it shows some pics, and some general info on what it once was.

I'm going to wait to get a G20 until after I get my Bachelors degree in September. I found a Studebaker nearby that I'm going to waste my money on right now. The G20 will remain in the back of my mind though, and I'll still stop in the forum every now and then. Thanks for all the help everyone.
