Hey, is it true that there is a Japaneese engine made for the 2nd gen probe that is a 3.0l or something? any one have any info on this? and about how much you can buy one for? thanks

yup, klez(sp) or somthign like that im not a probe guy. that motor and basic plot ons can get you to give a 99+ mustang gt a run for its money.
its like $900 or so fro teh motor but you also need tha j-spec PCM and a few oother things, its not turbo

i got a 91 probe that has a 3.0L 5 spd v-6 its nice there good engines and are pretty fast

u can get the j-spec motor from anywhere from 800-1500 its a direct swap u can even use your stock ecu but your vris wont be tunned properly

The japanese 2.5L engine code is KLZE. With the j-spec ECU you will see ~200 HP at the crank. The pricing varies as well as the shipping. Most commonly though the price for the engine is ~$900. A lot of times this comes with an auto tranny attached. If this is the case then you can sell it if you don't need it to regain some money used to purchase the ZE.
