DSM Family

Might be stupid question.... but what cars are part of the DSM family?

Eclipse, Talon, Galant...

DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors (used back in the Mitsubishi-Chrysler alliance of the late 80s/early 90s). This is why Plymouth Lasers, Eagle Talons, and the more common Mitsubishi Eclipses we talk about in this forum are referred to as DSM's. The Lancer and Galant VR4 are also called DSM's, but that is not something for the Eclipse forum! !

i just realized at work that dodge avengers are also dsm

basically anything that Crysler or Mitsu made before 1999 that was turbocharged or had a turbocharged model, is DSM

Ok heres the story early 80's Mitsubishi was not doing so well. K with me so far Then along came Crysler they hooked up Eagle saw what they were doing so they got in on some of the action thats where the talon comes from. They made ALL THE DSM'S IN NOWHERE, ILLIONS sry about the spelling mistakes but thats the story Eclipse Laser Talon 73% American 22% Japan 5% Other

If you want to get technical, you have to decide what DSM means. Some people say 2g's aren't DSM. Most people don't think 2g NT's are. Other cars were made there, or have related parts. Does that make Avengers, 3000GT's etc.. DSM?

Just leave it to T/E/L and GVR4's. If someone with a 4G63 needs help they are welcome to ask for it here. Galant GSX, colt.. etc.
