Hi Scott! Which model do you have? Can you tell me in detail what you like and don't like about the 05 Escapes. Can you tell me as much as you can because I was looking into getting the 2005 Escape XLT 4WD - Duratec 23 - 2.3L I4 Engine! They should all be similiar. What can you tell me about this car? Thanks! Sent you a pm just in case u don't get this msg.

i bought ford 05 maverick-same 05 escape in last Dec. now she runs abt 4000kms.
it is a good car, good performance on city road, but the gas drinking is also big, abt 15-16 L PER hundred km.
no much high teck electronic applies inside the car.
the China imported has some difference with the local escape too, but no much...
you can see some pics from our local forum, but in Chinese:)):

I just bought a Escape XLT with 3.0. I will be reading this forum I hope for many years and only seeing that everyone is getting good mileage, no complaints, and thousands and thousands of miles. I also liked the fantastic photo's of China! Beautiful scenery! I have 6000 miles on the Escape now and rotated the tires today. I am hoping Ford quality is number 1. I usually keep cars well over 100,000 miles and expect no problems as I maintain them as the guide says.

i rotated the wheels last Sat. when my mav runs 9000kms.
i can clearly see the difference of front wheels and the rear wheels before rotating.
it a good car, good for driving. but i hear some noise from the door place when dring in not smooth roads. it seems that rubber sealing of the door has some rubbing with the body which means a poor workermanship here.
and i just cannot understand why they did not have the air filter on before sale. i have to buy extra and fix it in the sales agent, costed me usd28.00, which is much expensive than that in the U.S.
enjoy your car !
