Hi Guys!
I know I'm posting all over the place these days, but I got a lot of time on my hands at work and at home as my girlfriend is studying a long way from here, and most of my friends is in the army. Besides, this forum is fun! :D

This time: rims!! Do you like this :

http://home.no.net/lassefos/div/modar1.jpg

I think those rims look beatyful on that car (mine's the same color, except ALOT more dirty!) They're called moda r1 on tirerack.com (great place for seeing rims on your car!!) but I think they look pretty simililar to the TSW Alpine rim. 17inches baby! :D Just would like your opinion, and trying to get to know Ya'll since I'm new here! Peace! :D

Peace! :D They aren´t bad but I´m not sure if it´s worth it to import them from the USA. I think you´ll find some nice wheels from european brands like O.Z., TSW, BBS, Borbet,..., too. Do you know what I mean?:)

Im not too keen on those kind of wheels. Not sure about Norway but those are the style of wheel that is on every other nova/escort/peugeot round here.

I guess it just depends if they are rare up there in Norway. They look good but it would suck if everyone else has the same wheels.

I like those wheels, but like Veetec already said, I would look into the european rim manufacturers. Their are a lot of look-a-likes from european tuners. BTW: be sure you get the right size if you buy rims. 17"x7" with an ET (offset) between 40-42 would be perfect. Altough you might get away with a 38 offset (like me:) ) if you don't lower it over 6cm.

I've seen in magazines that these rims are popular in the rest of Europe, but you don't see them to often here. It's basically 3 or 4 rims I like that I'm hoping to choose between this summer. One of them is the Momo Racer, another is the TSW Fury and Fusion. Those are FINE rims! Never intended to import from the states, got a friend up here in vikingland giving me up to 30%!:D

The spokes of those rims are round right?
Personally I don't like round spokes, I like them more flat like mine :D

Mine are more flat...............how can I explain right !?!?!?!
Maybe these pics will help me explain

The first pic is from the OZ Polaris, its a 2D picture so you can't see right.
http://www.folieseal.nl/polaris.jpg

But this pic is a slight more 3D and as you can see these rims are pointing more outwards.
http://www.folieseal.nl/spider.jpg
BTW these are the Mille Miglia Spiders, but the principle is the same as the OZ.

In the moment I´m also thinking about buying new rims but I´m not sure. I like the stock rims very much from all sites except from behind because they are looking really tiny IMO. But I´m not sure what to do and I don´t have got any Cent in the moment.

If you don't have a Cent then the problem isn't that big
Don't do it :D

But when you first posted the pics of your new ride I asked you if you were gonna
change the rims, but you then said that you liked the stock ones.
Maybe a inch or 2 bigger would look better
How big are the stock ones 15"

How big are the stock ones 15" Like I´ve already said I love how my car´s looking from the front and from the sides but I don´t like the back that much because the tires/ rims are looking too tiny for my taste! They´re 6,5x16" with 205/ 50 tires. Maybe it would look already a lot better if I put spacers on the rear axle so that the rims will come a lit bit more to the outside (do you know what I mean?). I just dunno.... :( I´ll post some new pics when my clear turning lights have arrived so that you get an idea how my car is looking now lowered on stock rims.

Yeah I know what you mean, that would be a good option to give
your car a wider look.

Can't wait to see your new pics ;)

...or maybe a bodykit!? I saw a nice Prelude on another Prelude forum with a OEM frontlip, Mugen sides and Mugen rear on stock (SH rims, same size as mine but looking different) rims. Maybe you can´t see the stock rims not that good anymore from behind with the kit on!? If anybody is interested to see the pics: www.hondaprelude.com and then search for `RedMugenLude´ (5th gen Prelude)!! What do you think? I know that VIS-Racing is offering a knock-off of the Mugen kit so I´d guess it won´t be that expensive!

I love the Mille Miglia Spiders! They look goooood on the car aswell. The OZ polaris is a nice rim, but OZ is hella expensive (isn't in the rest of europe?). Have anyone of you seen the TSW fusion? The "3D" multispoke of theirs? That really looks nice on civics, but I think it's easy to kerb them badly as the spoke sticks a bit out of the wheel. Not that I usually do that, but some of ya'll probably got girlfriends like me right :D ..civic_1.6_16v: like your rims, but they'd be even cooler a couple of inches bigger! Bet they handle great though! :D

Thanks, I wanted them bigger but these were the first expensive thing
I bought 4 my Civic and the money was gone :(

No worries, I'm saving my money for a new car
Some VTEC power and then I'll see how much money is left for new BIGGER rims.
But I just love 5 spoke rims, less then 5 is no good,
more then 5 spokes most of the time isn't my bag of chips. :D  :silly2:

If you want a real sleaper, sell your lude (god forbid) and by yourself one of those Civic Shuttles 4wd they had many years ago, swap it to a b18a, supercharge and NOS it and make sure you don't remove any of the rust or the original 13" steelies...You'd be streetracer #1!:D

But have you ever tried to go with over 200km/h into a corner with a mini-van?? I´d swap a H22A into it by the way...:D

hehe, h22a is from a? I'm not that into the "motorname" yet, getting there though! :D I've actually been in a minivan, a Mitsubishi Space Wagon 2 litre with wheels and some engine mods doing about 180kph, and I was pretty frightened!Sitting WAY of the ground in that speed is no fun...except if you're in a plane! :D

You're right, H22A is the 2.2L Prelude VTEC engine.
