Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my '92 G10 1.0L EFI & AT...
I've been eyeing this Swift engine & tranny...

Do you think I should just swap in the same motor or go for a Swift upgrade?
Please tell me pros/cons.

What?! All you guys and no one with an opinion? I just wanted to know was this a decent price vs. risk for a G10 w/ tranny.

Yeah go for it! I would not pay over 350.00$ though!

It uses a Carb. Pain in the butt when it's cold. But it's a good motor. Wouldn't have to mess with any wiring really.

My car is a '92 G10 engine in a '90 Metro w/ EFI... I don't know if I could switch to a carb and still pass California's smog inspection. Some folks have said to just install the long block & tranny using the distributor & manifold from my car.
I'm wondering if it is even possible to pass smog with a carb with all the smog regulations and sensors that this car has.
