i saw someone had red side grill thingys on their trans am i was wondering if you buy these colored side grills or you paint them
and if you paint them how do you pop them out of the front panel so you dont get paint on your car????

You paint them. Little tricky to remove from what I've heard (haven't done them myself) but apparently after a bit of work they just pop right out. Just soak in hot H2O, then wash with a mild soap and rinse to remove any buildup and paint away. Sould probably do a few coats and a final clear coat.
Curious as to what color your car is and what color you want to paint them. Some combos look badass (Bright Red exterior with silver vents, Navy Blue Metallic exterior with white vents) and some are just lame (Pewter MEtallic with orange) IMO.

wait but do you pop them out from the front or the back behind the door???

Take off the splash shield and reach behind to take them off. It's not that hard, just be careful or you can break the clips it uses to stay in.
