hey guys~

i'm looking into lowering my '91 corolla. i've looked around on the web and stuff and can't seem to find much in the ways of coilover kits and lowering springs for '91 corolla...not a surprise. has anyone here lowered their older corolla? or know if i could substitute parts from another car...like a celica of the same year? thanks for your suggestions. btw, i don't want to cut my springs.
peace
scott

so you want to lower your corolla........i got a 92 corolla and i lowered it with some coilovers made by obx........it is for the 93 and up model but you can still put them on, its the same........its a little bouncy when you slam it but its cool..............if you want them you can go to ebay and bid on the coilovers..........its obx and its about $149.00 only.........ground controll has it for like 500.00..........but the only thing is that you are going to have to grind around your top metal piece that covers the shock so that you can fit the threaded part of the coilover on it. its really simple i did it my self......

leigh03... coilovers r basically adjustale springs.. if u wanna be able to adjust the height of ur ride for whatever then coilovers r the cheapest way to go... unless u want airbags or something but less performance in those... n e wayz...
yea... the suspension of corollas (at least springs n i believe also shocks not sure about those tho) haven't changed from 88-02.. well i know up to 00 for a fact but it should work for all the way up to 02. now strut bars n stuff like that theres differences...
#1 stay away from weapon r circuit pro coilovers.. unless of course u wanna be able to win the buckin bronco contest at the local country bar. u'll bounce around all over the road. i have those on my car, looking to switch whenever i can get the money.
#2 OBX's n Ground Controls are the best I seen so far. HP Racing also makes coilovers and from what I heard they are pretty good in fact. But never riden on em so i dunno for sure.
#3 might wanna upgrade ur shocks when u get the coilovers.. makes a world of difference.
