My 99 Cobra vs another BMW

Yeah, I told you guys that I don't race and really I try not to.
This all happened yesterday on my lunch break. I had to drive 20 miles to my house to pick up my bike (which I planned on riding after work), and then 20 miles back to work all in less than one hour. Had to get lunch too. So I now have the mindset that nobody is going to get in my way, because I don't have time for it.
I am going along quite nicely when I am on this 3 lane road when I get behind a BMW X5(SUV, i know-but still a 4.4L V8). We are in the passing lane, and since it is illegal to pass on the right, I just wait for about 10-15 seconds, and then get pissed off. I get into the middle lane while in 4th gear going about 50 in a 45 and I give it a little gas.
Just as I am about to pass the X5, I notice he had just turned his right hand blinker on to get into the middle lane where I was, right in front of me. He then turned the blinker off and floored it staying in the left hand lane where he was earlier. I then noticed a car that was apparently ahead of both of us in the left-hand lane turning left. This means that the X5 was waiting just like I was.
Well, nobody is going to get in my way, and it seems that we both know the 3-lane road merges into 1 lane soon up ahead. After I notice that he floored it, I geared down to 2nd and took her up to about 70, threw it into 3rd and finished up around 80 while i had about 4-5 cars on the X5.
This gave me enough room to safely get back into the left hand lane where the other lanes merge to. What is it with BMW's that don't like to be passed? geez...
-not that exciting i know, but it makes a good time-waster for those at work.

Sounds like a good one man, those 4.4's are quick, like 6.7 0-60 for a heavy SUV. Nice kill!

Sounds like fun, and I know exactly what ya mean. Couple people I know drive as fast as possible in their Bimmers. They hate getting passed, and always want to be ahead of the pack.
