Salvagable?

Wondering if this piece of work is at all salvageable for resto projects.
Its gas tank went up when a positive spark off the battery hit some fumes while changing a fuel pump. What is salvagable from it? The front clip and engine are fine.

shut the fuck up fry, your not even old enough to drive.

I wouldnt both with it, that generation camero/firebird isnt worth much to start with. If you wanted one it would be cheeper to just buy one that isnt blown up. Or find one without motor and put that motor in it and/or front clip. Friend of mine just baught a 79 transam with 400 small block running in fair condition for $900, so that goes to so what there worth.

That car is a packed sized cube now but it was a rare car as well only 113 made of that model that year. 4.9 turbo v8 1980. We were gonna make a mock turbo bandit till this happened. Now he bought a prelude wth?

That doesn't even matter,
Just because he isn't driving yet, doesnt't mean he knows nothing about cars.

Technically he didnt restate what you said. He completely expanded upon and it happened to relate to what you said, except he can spell correctly and he also made his helpful and descriptive.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I just want to make a point. I am only 15, and cannot drive, yet I have rebuilt an engine, and painted 2 cars. I am currently on the 3rd which is a complete buildup on a '49 Ford. If you would like to follow it, it is in Ford non-specific. I think that it should be moved to fabricating, due the amount of fabrication in this car( hint hint plz Mike). Us young guns can make a difference!

By the way, I salvage as much as possible, and I wouldn't touch a piece on that car... Can you say heat warp?

Im in the same boat as you. Im 16, I do automotive/aircraft painting. I have rebuilt a few motors, and so on.

I'll go try and track your thread down, but a link might help.

Oh by the way, I never would've guessed you were 15, take that as a compliment.

I wasnt really insulting him for his age, it was because of his belief that he is inteligent.
