i want to use the chrome look, not high temp black.

so you have the equipment to powdercoat it but dont know if it can take the heat? or do you just need to know how hot the heatsheild gets?

powercoat can take a hell of a lot of heat. i know its good for the block and shit but im not sure on the heat sheild. i remember seeing turbos powdercoated and they get damm hot. but those were on mostly show cars.. not sure how much they actually drive em.. if you can do it cheap go for it... if it gets too hot and fades and all that then your know the answer...

it's a friend's equipment, not mine.
i don't know how the powder will react on the shield.
the chrome base isn't high temp, so i was worried that it would react weird after it was cured and on the car.
