Yesterday out the blue, my car just cut off when i was going around an exit to get on the beltway, it wasnt in gear and the clutch was not engaged, but for some reason she just cut off on me. I started her back up with no problem but when i was sitting in traffic it happend again. For some reason she is idleing at about 500 RPM's when she usually idles at about 1000. After a minute or so of idleing at 500 the RPM's drop completely and she cuts out. I suspect its my injectors but when im accelerating theres no stalling or sputtering so im not really sure...less then 5 minutes before she started cutting out on me i filled the tank with a good quality gas so im pretty sure its not the gas, so right now im stuck. Any one out there have a clue whats goin on? Any and all feedback is appreciated.

How many miles do you have on your car. Do you do maintanance yourself, or bring it in? Is it throwing a check engine light? When it idles low, does it kinda sputter? It could be a number of things.. you might need a new PCV valve, or have Bad or low oil, faulty throttle body sensor aka "TB sensor", Intake element needs to be changed, spark plugs and/or wires...

well the car has about 111,000 miles and i do all the maintenence myself, i recently put a new OEM clutch and flywheel in, changed the timing belt, spark plugs and wires and more recently then that installed a CAI. All the fuel injectors have been thoroughly cleaned within the last 6 months. I only have that problem when i am sitting in traffic, every now and then the RPMs will drop from 500 to 0 and the car will cut off...she starts up again with no problem, but now im starting to notice a short sputter when i am in, lets say 3rd gear and driving at about 15-20 mph...that never happened before so im not really sure whats goin on....

Have you changed your PCV valve recently? Try swapping your spark plug wires back to stock and test drive it. The only thing I can think of is that your PCV valve needs to be changed.

Thanks...Im gonna check the PCV Valve this weekend..as for the spark plug wires, there OEM, the last set i had were performance and there was no noticable difference other than the $$..actually my throttle responce is a lil better since i put the OEM set in...go figure...but thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated
