I am helping my friend restore a 1978 Camaro. We are looking for information on repairing or replacing the right rear quarter panel. Does anyone have some guidance on this subject? Where do we make the cuts? What do we need to do first to get the old one off and then put the new one on? What tools, cutting wheel etc. would be needed? What about misc. supplies? As much help would be greatly appreciated? Please post here or email me at my normal email address:
[email protected] We would like to get started on this Monday or Tuesday, so anyways thanks.

oofda. That is a big project. My dad has a 78, and i'm glad its all mint. I think most people on here are mechanics, not body people. Your best bet is gonna be to get the panel first, and then see where you need to cut. Your gonna need to cut straight and weld slow so you don't warp the body panels. They actually use those cars a lot for racing, so you look hard enough you can find replacement panels for just about everywhere. Good luck with that, and I hope it all goes well.
