I noticed today that when i shift its real loose...i know its not the clutch, but is there a such thing as the linkage loosining? If so how can you tighten it?

Thx Matt

yes. the linkage is two cables they could come loose at either end. on the inside, unscrew your shift knob and pop your shift boot off (its held by clips around the bottom that go into the console just pry carefully) before adjusting anything check for play at both ends. the transmission side is a little harder to explain where it is and your ic pipes probably block you from seeing it. its on the transmission and go to two little control arm/levers. ill put a pic up in a minute.

edit>>> looking at the pic i realized there are bushing on the trans control arms. theres also bushing connecting the shifter inside to the floor these are rubber and could be causing your sloppiness

the pics not uploading to the gallery right so i tried to email it to you but it says you arent accepting emails. if you need the pic to find it just email me at [email protected] and ill send it to you
