My 650hp Z06 vs Camaro Z28

I was driving home from work two days ago and i saw guy flashing his brights behind me...so i slowed down and he pulled up next to me and motioned for me to take then next exit. So i thought what the hell. Me and Scott (the guy's name which i found out on the license plate) pulled into a Super America. I asked if i could see under his hood but he declined and so did I. Especially if he saw the "LPE" emblem on the engine i'm sure he wouldn't want to run. So we shook hands and decided to throw down 300 bucks each. So we pull onto 169 South and kind of do a "polish road block" so that we can get some room between us and the accord and some jeep in front of us. And then my girlfriend called....oh great....just as i look down to answer the phone he hits it! Not only is my adrenaline rushing but i'm pissed as well because he should at least give me a hint that he's gonna take off. He must've been packing some serious heat because by the time i looked up he was already two car lengths ahead, so punched it. Once we got up to about 125-130mph it was no contest i cruised by and i saw him quit when i was 3 car lengths ahead. Not only was it an awesome win....but i also got $300 bucks and gave him a little attitude at the gas station we stopped at...:smile:

Now, why would you put LS1 heads on an LS6?

The funniest thing to me is its obviously two different cars. The one he is in is Red, but if you look at the picture below that (the one of the engine) the top right corner clearly shows the car as having a gold paintjob. Unless he got a 45k (in that range) car painted? Whatever, He's a liar.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I didnt think thy made any vert z06s only the c5 was available in vert, and wasnt the Lingenfelter a c5 also? I seem to remember reading in an old issue of car and driver putting the Lingenfelter vette up against 9 other supercars (this might have been another issue). It may have been a z06 modle that they tested but I cant seem to find the issue.

A few things gave it away. One someone who owned a 650hp corvette wouldn't name themselves "vettethug", his profile says he has a eclipse, and he's a student. Would of been cool if it really happened though....
