How much HP can a 383 stroker pull

I want to know how much a 383 Stroker can pull once it was built? I have heard that a 383 stroker can pull 700 horse. Is this true? I read this in Super Chevy magizine but i have no idea what the facts are. So if someone could help me on this i would apprecate it. Sorry bout the sloppy spelling.

Really Ive only seen 383's go up to 475 HP, they could go probably more. 700 that, seems like alot maybe with Nitrious. All depends on what you bolt on it. Theirs so many things these days, with Performance kits and what not, I guess anything possible.

Almost any "good" configuration of the small block is capable of tremendous power. Yes, a 383 can make 700. But... It takes a pile of money, and it won't be a daily driver.
There's a man here in Richmond, that sells a small block, displacing 267 CI, that makes just over 800. It's a popular engine in the Comp Eliminator classes in NHRA. Of course, it costs over $20K, but revs to 12,000 RPM!
