Morning Traffic

God im an so tired of living in LA!, there is way to many cars in the morning. I takes me 1 whole hour to get like a 15 miles away from where i live. Especially the 110 here in LA, i wish they could just move out of the way. Every morning is people doing stupid things on the freeway or the streets. Just today some a**h*** tried to get in front of me while i was like 6in from some truck in front, and was still cursing at me for it, oh also, at a stop light today, (all cars stoped, 2lane street) some moron comes from the opposite direction and manages to get in infront of every one and makes every one wait till he makes a right. I always get to work late because of this; not mattering what time i wake up to get ready.:angryfire

i know what ya mean...sorta. i drove to school every day last year and traffic totally sucked most of the time. 20 minute drive in the middle of the day turned into around a 40 minute drive on a good day. not as bad as LA, but cleveland traffic does suck.
of course now morning traffic consists of stumbling accross campus...gotta love college

To get 18 miles takes me an hour and a half. Its not fun toting jetskis around. Me and my cousin started a business of buying/fixing and reselling jetskis. He works on em I trailer em. The worst part is having to take to school to make deliveries and pick ups. People just don't know how to friggin drive.... Manuevering threw crowded streets and parking lots what makes it take forever. If I go to school no trailer it is 15 minute drive. Trailers are not allowed on the parkways so I need to take surface streets and people are just pompus assholes and wont let you in and so on. Its even worse with a truck and stock trailer.

my morning traffic isn't that bad considering the freeway is completely out of the way. I travel 13 miles on surface streets to get to University of Arizona. It takes me only 25-35 minutes in the a.m., but 40-60 min in the afternoon (plus a 7 to 10 minute walk each way). My biggest obsticle is the high scholl that i have to pass. It can back up traffic for 1.2 miles on my odo.

I'm about five miles away from work and it can take up to ten minutes if there is a heavy snow storm :)

/\ Batstard!
It takes me 30 mins to drive to school or work (both convinently within 1 min walk from eachother)
But it takes me 1 hour bus ride, no one gives way to the buses, no wonder why people prefer to drive than use public transportation.
I honestly dopn't mind the morning traffic all that much, because everyone is grumpy and just wants to get to where they are going FAST, I blend right in!

I drive into the Quincy Adams T garage on Thursdays and a normal time of 5 minutes to get there stretches out to a 15-20 minute crawl. and not only is traffic on the highway slow, but the T has delays constantly...blah...

I live in the LA area myself, so I know what jmrev is talking about. I'm actually pretty lucky tho, traffic is always real heavy going opposite my direction. I take a look at the 60 freeway and see nothing but cars stacked up on one another going west, towards LA. The same thing for the 605 freeway. The 605 going south is murder, but going north (the way I go) isn't too bad. Takes about 10 minutes to travel 8 miles for me in the mornings.

Route 80 in North Jersey from Paterson to New York City, and the NJ Turnpike are pretty bad during morning and evening rush hour. Some go as slow as 35, and as fast as 65.

Spent the previous four years living in Seattle... Absolute insanity! Road rage and the works. It frequently took at least an hour sometimes 2 or more to get from home (Everett WA) to Seattle. Now I live and work in Bremerton WA. Not much traffic at any time, and Seattle is a quick ferry ride. It drops you off downtown and costs 3.50 to walk on... Now if I only had friends living on this side of the old Puget Sound. But everything has its price.

I honk air horns at the mofos that go in b/w the lanes. One day a guy fell over. He was creeping by the truck slowly in b/w lanes so decided to get a laugh while in traffic. :evillol:

I live in a small collage town. Getting to work on time consists of finding a good parking spot! I live far enought away from school to have to drive about 2 min, walking takes 20. What makes me mad is all thoes damn freshman that live accross the street from campus, dont want to walk from one end to the other, and drive their car.

Right now I work about 2.5 miles from my house. A bad traffic day means a 10 minute commute, but I usually make it in around 5 min. all side streets :bigthumb:
But when I used to have to drive from the city to the burbs 25 miles out, it would take about 50 minutes on the best of days (very rare), 2 hours on bad ones. Chicago is the worst cuz they're ALWAYS doing construction... unless its winter in which case the snow takes care of any aspirations of a quick commute :shakehead
