RIP street racers
2 passengers street racing in an r33 gts where killed today, the driver and another passenger surived the accident, driver lossed controll and hit a tree or poll of some kind.
our thoughts go to the familes of the victims.
racers b carefull, u take ur life for granted till u kill your best mate.
It fucking shits me that 2 ppl who might not even have wanted to have been there where killed, if a driver dies like that it was his fault and his choice, but the passengers are the real tragady.
race safe ppl and u will see another sunrise, just imagine ur mothers face at the funeral as she stares at ur CLOSED casket.

That's terrible, they have all our prayers I'm sure. I hate to see people die from street racing. I'm only 18, but I know when to stay safe. Sometimes it just happens without anyone doing anything wrong. This is like the third Skyline crash I have seen this year. DAMN YOU 2F2F!!!

I agree. That's why there shouldn't be any "fellow street racers" I mean we all get the urge to go out and race someone if we see a car we wanna run, but some guys just live for street racing which is pretty dumb.

Yet nobody deserves to die because of what they love to do.
It's too bad to see things like this happen.

That's why if you're really "into it" then go to a track. Atleast there you don't have to worry about killing a passenger, or something getting in your way (ex: other cars, dogs, cats, people, etc.) and if something does happen, you have a full medical crew right there.
It is really sad when things like that happen. And I know it can happen at the track too, but atleast at the track, you are racing in a controlled environment.

Aw man that sucks for the driver. If I were him I would be wishing I was dead because he caused the two deaths. :disappoin

Everyone is gonna race sooner or later, even a 50 year old guy might race someone on the street, but that's not the point. Without races this forum wouldn't exist. The thing is, people sometimes accidently end up racing, note "sometimes" Then there are people who go out to drive the car around just so they can find a someone to race. If you do that all the time, chances are, you'll end up getting hurt one day.

It happens... we know better... it's illegal... people get killed... yet we still do it... it could happen to anyone, anytime... maybe your next race... yet we still do it... why? If you have ever raced then you know why.

To be a car person and to say "I have never, EVER, raced on the street" is a quick way to be called a hypocrit when it comes to street racing, admittedly I myself have had many "redlight to redlight" sprints back in the day, and I can honestly say never at triple digit speeds and very rarely have they been longer than a block or two because if I immediately get ahead or I can't keep up I bail out immediately as there is no point, but even that doesn't rule out the possibility of something happening, so yes you can say I've been lucky back in those days. But lets face it, everybody who is into fast cars has done it at one time or another. Street accelleration contests have been happening longer than a lot of people here have even been on this earth, and that is a fact. Back then there was a lot less traffic on the roadways than there is today so the risks in killing or maiming yourself or an innocent person is far greater now than it was even 10 years ago.
Also saying "take it to the track" is an easy thing to say when you live near one. But the sad reality is, a lot of tracks have been closed up and now there is a multitude of areas all across the US where there isn't any place suitable for holding a legally supervised type of "run what you brung" contest, or you have to travel quite a long distance to a track so you can get your "need for speed" craving out of your system. What is really sad, is the public outcry regarding the street racing activity now happening at a higher frequency on public roads is also the very same public that banded together against those now defunct places to close them up because of noise ordinances or other reasons. They eventually got what they wanted, but they also didn't think ahead about the problems that would be created from their actions.
Yes in this day and age it is way too risky to do it on the streets, but for some it's the only place because of the reasons stated in the paragraph above. I am fortunate to have an operating track near me so I can get my "jones" out when the need arises, I truely feel sorry for the ones that don't have that luxury, but to blame them for not having a place to race isn't entirely their fault, that blame in my opinion goes to society in general for taking it away from them.
