The driver's side door on my Blazer sags a bit when it's open, and the rear lower edge is starting to hit the frame and chip off paint when I close it. It doesn't always slam shut on one go, and when I open it it drops about a half inch. I looked at the hinge pins, but there doesn't seem to anything that's adjustable. Anybody have this problem and know of a fix or estimate for repair?

You need to have your door pins and bushings replaced. The longer you continue to use the doors the less likely the pins and bushings will repair it for you will end up elongating the holes that the bushings go into. Pins and bushing sets for both hinges should be under $20.

Thanks, that looks like exactly the problem. Unfortunately, I can see that the holes are already enlarged. I guess I'll have to file this one under the 'not worth the trouble' category.

Yes it is worth it.
Don't be lazy and fix it. New pins and bushings will at least stop it from rubbing.

From what I hear, the process for doing this requires a spring compressor tool. I heard the spring part is a pain because it shoots out and hits you in the eye... Well, maybe. The spring is pretty tight in there. Can anyone who has done this before give any hints or a degree of difficulty?

I don't think you have to remove the spring to do the bushings and pins.

Huh ??? You most certainly HAVE to remove the spring to install the pins/bushings.....did both my driver and passenger side.....not that big of a deal if you have jackstands and a buddy to help.

After removing the spring, do you just tap the pin and bushing out with a hammer? Also, I heard you do the upper pin/bushing first.

I did the bottom ones first. Take 2 jackstands and put towels on them to hold the doors. Also have someone help. Before you do anything put some duct tape along the edge of the fender to protect the paint. I used an air hammer with a flat end on it to pop the pins out past the knurl. A hammer will work also. Once you get everything out it's easiest to use a nut and bolt with washers to "draw" the bushings in. HTH

Don't forget, there is also a snap ring on each pin and the bushings are two different sizes.

hahaha, just my luck!
Today the spring in the door that needed its hinges replaced just shot out. Seriously! The little spring compressor bar was somehow on the other side of the little bushing too. It was crazy.
I guess I'll be getting to that door project a little sooner than expected...
