The Cruse Control, Light Night Sensor, and Heater Fan work sometimes and do not work othertimes. Sometimes while driving. Any ideas?

The head unit for the AC/Heat controls do go buggy but usually it just dims out so you cant see it.
But that doesn't really sound like your problem.
Has your dash been apart? When my remote start was installed they never put the sensor back thru the dash and my dash wouldn't light.

I have the same issues. Have you found the source of the problem?
Thanks Jeff

No, I have not found a solution. The problem does occur about 10% of the time. It makes me think that there is connection somewere that is lose.

This item seems to be similar but, not quite the same. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=254190

I had previously read that item, and sever others too. I think that this is the ignition switch, not the key but the actual electrical switch on the lower portion of the steering column.

Going back to our issue. Mine problem occurs about 10% too; would be nice if it would just quit. I have the factory repair manuals and have been studying the schematics. I do not see where the Cruse Control and Heater Fan are controlled by the BCM. The headlights are but not the Cruise and Fan. I am still reading and studying. I will also take mine to the dealer next week and see what they say. Will cost me about $50 to hear it but what else can I do..... I noted in the manual that the BCM must be programmed to a specific car using a GM scan tool, so that means I can't replace the BCM myself. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Also, I have lost the rear two channels in my stereo. Have you noticed this in your Buick?

Jeff
