Scale Model aging

Hi guys, its me again. I would like to ask the most experienced modelers here...those with years or even decades of experience. What are the effects of time on a finished scale model? Do the tires turn white or get crumbly? Do the body paint fade? I plan to keep my models for a very very long time. I would like to prepare for any possible aging.

Some of mine are 15 years old and these are problems:
Yellowing on decals, cracked tyres, glue doesn't hold any more on some places, side effects of dust (try to store them in dust free place) and that is it, the worse thing are decals but some of my cars don't have clear coat over decals so that is probably the problem.

Yeah, I'm not an experienced modeler, but I've heard in many places that clear coat will prevent decal yellowing on a finished model. Dealing with the glue: use liquid glue that actually "welds" the peices together and you'll never have a problem with the glue failing.

Glue will be the worst as over time it will go brittle and its easy to break things off.
You wont have any trouble with paint if you have prepeared it correctly.
Dust is one of your worst things to get on the paint as it will dull it over time.
