My luck finally ran out...

Finally got a ticket on Saturday... haven't had one in several years.

The funny thing is that my registration has been expired for almost 3 years now because I haven't been able to pass emission inspections, and I keep putting it off, but I haven't been pulled over ONCE for expired tags, even when there's been TONS times when cops were right behind me at stoplights and on the freeway, etc.

Anyways, I came out of a convenience store the other night to find a cop scoping out my car with his flashlight... Long story short, I got a $833 ticket because of the expired tabs, no front license plate, and I didn't have proof of current insurance. The insurance part will be dropped ($575 of the ticket), and I think I can get the others dismissed since the cop didn't even pull me over... It's almost the same as if my car were parked in front of my house and he came and knocked on my door to give me a ticket... that's total horseshit.

GL... hope you get that stuff dropped. Front license plates are stupid. I'm sure glad SC don't require them... it totally kills the looks of the front end IMO.

Damn dude sux to hear...If you aren't driving, i didn't know they could give you a ticket for not having a front plate. And yes, in WA state we have to have a front plate, it sux.

The requirements are per-state for front license plates... But sucks to hear abou the ticket. Get it taken care of and get that car registered!

haha... I was driving around for about 6 months with no insurance, and a suspended license and didn't get pulled over.... Then when they did they impounded my CRX that I had owned for 1 day....

The ticket was like........... over a thousand dollars, plus it cost me 950$ to get it out of the impound...

dude screw that cop i wouldnt even think twice about paying that ticket. i would have told the dumbass to shove and ripped up the ticket. damn dude that would piss me off

driving with no insurace.....wow....Im glad you never hit anyone.....cause if you killed someone with no insurace even I would be up your ass with my size 10.

I am a safe, defensive driver unless on an abandond road.... and plus at the time i had a 119 hp ford ragner... so i coudln't really do anything stupid anyway...

Yeah, I've got insurance, but I just didn't have the current card in the car with me. The one I did have expired last month.
