need help with crx dash swap

ok...i got my crx dash into my 91 hatch. question is...the mounts and the wiring on the crx dash i got were different for the gauge cluster. im guessing its to an 88-89 crx. so i swapped the mounting brackets for the gauge cluster from the stock dash to the crx dash so it would bolt in and the wiring would remain the same. now the problem is that the gauge bezel wont fit aroung the ignition.....WHAT DO I DO?....im thinking i was supposed to swap the backs of the dash boards? TIA

Sounds like you got the wrong year dash. You have to stay with the years. The best way to find out which dash is which is the gauge cluster dome. Is it square like the hatches, it's a 88-89, is it nice round curve to it , it's a 90-91.

yea i already found out its from the wrong year crx...but i found a solution.
