A lady I know moving to OK. Was going to give to Goodwill. SO, I towed it home . Good shape etal. new tires. Problem with distributor, was replaced, will crank but no start. Heard the computer may be real problem. Can the computor be reset with out the OB II tool ? Any other gremlins in the electrical system ?

The Colt you are inheriting, is it fuel injected or carbureted? I will let you know once I get mine. Where are you located?
BTW, the easiest way to reset the computer is to disconnect the negative lead to the battery overnight, and then reconnect it in the morning. The 1989 Colt does not have OBDII diagnostics.
