Wanting to get a MR2
95Prelude

Well, as you can probably tell from my name I own a 95 Prelude right now, but am in the process of looking for a MR2 to trade my lude in for (something I never thought I would be saying). I was just wondering, what should I be looking for. I know I want a stock turbo, so I was wondering what years those came out in, and about what kind of price range do you think is reasonable. Any other helpful hints you could give me would be appreciated, because so far my search to find any MR2's has been very slim.

Just found this on the autotrader website. Do you think it is a decent price for the year/mileage? That is, if the car runs well of course.

Turbos were available in the US from 91-95
91/92 being the most common, then 93
With 94 and 95 models being EXTREMELY RARE.
For a nice 91/92 turbo $6500-$8000. I've seen nice 93s go for as much as $10,000.

actually u will notice that the most common years are 91 and 93... i have yet to figure out why but i see very few 92's compared to 91's and 93's
a beat up mr2 turbo can be found for arround 4,000 - 5,000 you can get a decent turbo ~6,000 - 8,000 like draz said... then 94's and 95's with low miles i have actually seen get to 18,000 (had like 30,000 mi.) but usually go for about 11,000 - 15,000 (depending on milage)
