I am looking for a project roadrunner with an original 440. about that project road runner, i started a project road runner 3 years ago, you can't believe the prices year one and paddock want for replacement parts, also make sure when you start you have a complete car to work with. i put too much emphasis on rust and mileage, what i got was a 46000 mile car rust free that was a race car for most of its life and stripped of everything, including heater boxes, wiper motors and also i got no motor with mind, parts missing like pulleys and throttle linkage parts drove me nuts!! its almost finished now but i
think a i have more money in it than it is worth!! but let me ask you whens the last time you saw a yellow and black pro streeted road runner driveing down the road. if i had it to do all over again i would have found one near completed or completed!! but it was an experience you will never forget and always be willing to talk about with friends. good luck !!!

I am looking for a project roadrunner with an original 440.
what year ?
72-74 are still reasonably priced but rare and hard to find . all 72-74 RRs with 440s are classified road runner / GTX because the 440 was only avalible as a GTX option .

It has a little rust around the rear under wheelwalls nothing major crawling up the sides. It ran in 95' but has been in a shed since. Originally black, bumpers, grills, lights everything in good condition. Interior tore but cushions and everything still good. Automatic on the floor.

They are relatively rare and nobody is making replacement sheetmetal. If the engine will run and doesn't need to be rebuilt, it's worth $1k to $2k.
