Does anyone know how to get the yellowing out of my stock headlights?
Is there a way to clean wax etc.
They have turned yellow and hazy over the years and I would like to try to make them look like new again. Thanks in advance.

Why is it that my 92's headlights look brand new still? Or is it because the newer ones are made of plastic and not glass? I dont even know what they're made of lol

If I'm right, the 4th generation was the last year they made glass headlights. 92+ were all plastic. My 1990 headlights are glass.

Mine are glass... 6th gens have that very thin very clear plastic, which of course looks nicer. Why do my headlights have nipples anyway? My moms camry has them and so does my explorer. They are little pieces of glass that stick out.

there was a thread a while back about what those nipples are for, or maybe it was somewhere else, either way, they are used to allign your headlights.

Use Mother's Mag Polish. Use a soft cloth, or rag and buff your plastic lens with the Mothers Mag Polish, and that should do it. Its an old trick that used for old domestic hod rods. Try it.. you'll be amazed. You might need to do it several times depending on how bad it is.

I own a 93 Thunderbird and cleaned my Headlight the easy way.

I used Soft Scrub (cleaning agent) and Liquid Gold (furniture polish)

My Right side head light was replaced and I can't afford to replace the Left side yet and it didn't pass inspection.

My left side was badly yellowed I couldn't see in side of it and it was so Dull looking.

I do have before and after pictures of this..

I covered the Headlight in Soft Scrub and let it dry before washing it off , The yellow just came right off. It still has a tint of yellow but I can now see in it and it looks clear and clean.
I sprayed Liquid Gold ( furniture polish on it and shined it up instead of Windex).

My car passed inspection and has been through a rain storm and still looks great.

The inspector asked me if it was a special replaced Headlight and if I was going to replace the other one as well.
