What make my engine want to stall or die when it is cold.Runs fine when warmed up.Their is no sevice engine lights on,new fuel pump and filter new plugs.Does the computer make it run different when cold?

sounds like a stuck EGR valve. It should be closed when the engine is cold, and open when it's warm.

I had an Olds Calais with the same engine and the same problem. I fixed it with a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and changing the oxygen sensor.
I think it was the oxygen sensor telling the computer the wrong air/fuel mixture, but cleaning the injectors did hurt either.
