Well, first off, dont pretend to be something youre not. you arent going to impress anyone here. for the love of god if you have a V6, dont put Z28 badges or SS badges on your car.
That being said, an awesome place to find an engine is www.fbodymotorsports.com, they are a salvage yard specializing in third and fourth generation F-bodies. and will have probly the engine and the parts to swap it over to your sixer. they also might be interested in taking that sixer off your hands, dunno if they would buy it from ya or not. As far as making the 3800 look like a V8, cant, as far as making it sound like the V8, ya cant, but a magnaflow catback wouldnt be a bad idea. but if you just want performance, why not get a turbo kit for it, or supercharge it, if you got it, make it your own, and be proud of it. ask hypsi about a turbocharged 3.8L's potential ;)

Also if you're wanting to make the V6 fast talk to the people at Texas Speed and Performance, I saw a V6 run at a Battle of the Cities event that was very respectable (i think it was low 7's 1/8th mile).
