I pained it red, it turned out ok but some dust got on it b4 it dryed :banghead:

Cool truck! I'm with you on the engine choice, nice to see some thing else than a V8. But you might end up underpowerd in real life with this old mill, turbo or not...but it sure looks good. But you never know, I saw an Icelandic off-roader with a turbo charged inline six and man that bird could fly. It just went hooooowling up the slopes :-O

It came with a mostly stock 261 I6 (chrome valve cover and air cleaner) I added the sub frame after stretching it ~ 1/2 inch and cutting it to fit the stock '50 frame. I made the header for the 261 (yes they only had 4 tubes) I didn`t use the chrome valve cover that came with the kit , I found a offenhauser valve cover in my scrap parts (its OLD!) then I made the intake for two holley 4 brls and painted the dist. to look like a mas one to match the msd ignition box :smile: .
