Tranny, Buy Or Rebuild... Help!

from the research that i've done so far, i've found out the most reasonable price to buy a new m/t is from mantrans.com. (a G and change includes shipping) anyone know or hear of how this place is? all i know about them is that the reception girl is mad polite and sounds mighty cute... :naughty: ...but, doesn't have the knowledge i was hoping for. are there any people out there that can recommend a place?
now if i chose to rebuild the existing tranny, i've been told that aamco is pretty good. the garage that my friend works for, sends their trannys to aamco for repair. now i trust my friend, but i don't really trust any type of business that's a chain and so commercialized.
i won't mind spending a G to buy a brand new m/t, but i'm not about to get one that's at 30, 50, or 80,000k and pay about the same price!
last option would be to go to nissan and buy the components that i need, but i have a feeling that may go beyond my budget. when my mechanic and i took out and opened the tranny, he showed me that the main drive gear is all we need cuz of it being scratched up.
