The 4th gen maxima has 9004 and H3 bulbs, both of which have horizontal filiments. All other bulbs have vertical. I heard it looks like crap if you put HIDs in a 9004 or H3 housing. Can someone please prove me wrong so i can feel comfortable buying the Philips Ultinon kit. has anyone put HIDs in their 4th gen? How did it turn out? What brind did u use? Thanx

I baught the Hanabi HID kit from a guy on the Maxima.org site. He has a shop in NJ, phone # 201-420-6792, Audio Links ask for Freddie. The kit is around 400 bucks. I have it in my 99. Excellent light output, I have good focus, still have 2 "hot spots" very visible if you shine on a wall. The color is beaurtful HID blue, they hit the road very well. I don't have anybody highbeam me at all. Very pleased with this kit. A VERY good imporvement in my lighting.

I must agree. I have the Blue Hanabi kit from Freddi also. I actually went to his store! He is a great guy and will do anything to help you out. I accidently got one puple and one blue. I went back to his store and he game me two new bulbs. Now that is excellent customer service. I am going to Freddie to get my new system in about 2 months. Mind you he is in Jersey and I am in New York, but I love his methods and his honesty!!
